My Personal Podcast Suggestions

What we do and how we act is connected to what we hear and process in our minds. It’s important to pay attention to what you listen to and consume because it can turn into reality. That’s why I pay attention to what I process in my head. Listening to podcasts that feed my soul and mind have definitely benefited me and helped shape me into becoming a better person. There are endless podcasts with different genres to choose from! The ones I chose to share are the top 5 podcasts I listen to for some extra encouragement and motivation. Of course, I don’t listen to podcasts 24/7, but I make sure to listen to a podcast at least once a day.

Goddess Confessions by Sheneka Adams

I started listening to this podcast about a year ago, and it’s definitely binge worthy! The information is very useful and impactful to my daily life, so I listen to the Goddess Confessions pretty often. I love that her voice is soft and clear, so it’s not hard to understand her point. The episodes aren’t very long, so I usually listen to an episode on my way to school or if I have extra time before class starts. Also, the tips she gives help with self esteem, stepping into your own path, and living your best life. I definitely recommend to anyone who wants a quick word of encouragement.

Anything Goes with Emma Chamberlin

If you watch Emma Chamberlin’s Youtube videos, you know that she makes it feel like there is a personal relationship with her and her fanbase. She does the same thing with her podcasts also. It feels like I know her personally when listening to her podcast. Emma touches on different topics varying from school to New Years resolutions, and she makes it relatable. Her podcast is very comforting and can demonstrate that influencers and regular people can still relate to each other through experiencing the same emotions and circumstances. Each episode is pretty lengthy, so I recommend listening to in your downtime.

Brown Girl Self- Care by Bre Mitchell

Brown Girl Self care is about sharing tips and conversations about self care. My favorite things about this podcast is how each episode feels like a normal conversation. She shares her personal life experiences to help relate to the topic that’s being discussed for that episode. I love the advice she has and how she gets her point across. I would definitely recommend to anyone who wants to know more about doing self care.

Skimm This by TheSkimm

This podcast is more information based, but personally, I think that being updated in the current news and events, international affairs, and even pop culture shows intelligence and can help expand your vocabulary. I know it can be boring, but I found that Skimm This is good at sharing the message in a clear and non-confusing way. I sometimes like to listen to an episode when getting ready for school or getting ready for bed. I definitely recommend this to anyone who wants to start listening to the news and current events.

The Mindful Kind

My favorite thing about this podcast is that she uses her life experiences to help give life tips to help upgrade yourself. From talking about imposter syndrome to talking about what to do when you’re feeling lost, The Mindful Kind has definitely helped me with being kind and positive to myself, as well as other things. These episodes are not super long, so you can definitely listen to one during a ride or if you have about 10 minutes to spare. I usually listen to one episode at school when there’s extra time to give me some extra encouragement before the school day starts. Definitely give this one a try if you don’t know which podcast to start with.

I hope you find these recommendations useful to you. If you don’t like these options, go on Spotify or Apple Podcasts and you’ll find thousands of podcasts that cover different topics!
